If you learn to dive through the PADI system then there are three parts to your course. The first is theory, the second part is the pool sessions and the third part is the open water course. You can start your dive training here in the UK to save valuable holiday time.
The theory: there are different ways to do this. One of the easiest is online learning because you can learn at your own pace in your own home, or on the commute to work. When you book into a course and pay the deposit we will order your online learning. You receive an email with a link and you download the PADI materials. We can keep track of how you’re getting on and we can help out with explaining any concepts.
The confined sessions: these generally take place over two sessions. You’ll learn how to put kit together and get in the water and start learning skills and building confidence under the water. We hire a private pool for the sessions, although we try to incorporate the Saturday early evening session for one of them.
Once you’ve passed the theory and completed all skills for the two parts above we then give you a referral form which provides evidence to your dive centre that you’re ready for the open water. We might include a note with some further information to ease the transition for your next step.
If you’re interested in starting your dive education before you travel then get in touch with us. You can save valuable holiday time leaving you free to enjoy some post-certifying dives, or simply some more time exploring sites on land or relaxing by the pool.
